I absolutely love fall fashion and the second the temperature drops, I move my favorite cold-weather pieces to the front of my closet. If I had to choose, I would say there are 3 key items I wear the most during this time of year.
First, I love a good over-the-knee boot. I have a few different styles in black and brown suede, all of them platform heels (of course!). These boots are my go-to for fall because they are easy to pair with leggings, tights, jeans, tunics, dresses, ponchos - they really work with most of my fall wardrobe. My favorites are from Givenchy and Valentino - and I have my eye on the new sock over-the-knee boots from Jimmy Choo.
Cashmere is also a mainstay in my closet during the cold months. I have a few different ponchos and oversized wraps that I reach for all the time. I gravitate towards neutrals for these pieces so most of my cashmere is either solid black, cream or ivory. A good cashmere wrap works for a million different scenarios: long flights, the office, restaurants with outdoor patios, the kids' soccer games, the list goes on. I love cashmere from The Elder Statesman, Parrish LA and Madeleine Thompson.
I have also been wearing faux-fur oversized coats this season. ALO makes a long faux-fur sherpa trench I have in black and cream. For a heavier version, APPARIS has some great cozy styles in pretty jewel-tone colors. I tend to wear this style when I'm going out for dinner in Malibu or for date night with Rodger.
The other thing I change up in the fall is my lipstick and nail color. But stay tuned for more on that!
