How I Recreate A Hotel Bed At Home

How I Recreate A Hotel Bed At Home

The best hotels in the world always have the most comfortable beds. Your home should feel just as luxurious, so finding the softest sheets is key in recreating a five-star calibre bed.

Everyone that stays at my house always asks where my bedding is from. I love the sheets from Cariloha because they are literally the softest sheets ever. I use these sets on most of the beds in my house, including the kids rooms. The fabric is bamboo viscose so the sheets are cooler than cotton, good for sensitive skin and allergy resistant. I also like duvet covers from Parachute. They have really pretty color palettes in linen.

My mattress is from Avocado, a great company that uses natural materials like 100% certified organic latex (from rubber trees), cotton and wool.

I also love Frette...basically the gold standard for all bedding. I have Frette's Egyptian cotton sheets and duvets in solid white on my bed. To add color, I layer on throws and pillows in cashmere or silk from Missoni, Versace and Hermes.

For pillows, I like to have a few options and sizes ranging from hypoallergenic bamboo to silk filled versions. I use Nurse Jamie's satin-covered memory foam pillow to prevent waking up with wrinkles from the sheets. I also love Slip silk pillowcases and eye masks. Pillowcases made with 100% silk absorb less moisture from your skin and also your hair (this is good for those of us that like to keep a blowout or mermaid hair going for several days.)

Whenever I come home from a trip, I realize how much I missed my bed. There's really no place like home!
